I spent a year as post-graduate researcher at Borrill Lab, University of Birmingham. Here, I worked in project focused on senescence-associated nitrogen metabolism in wheat. This project aimed to understand genes that are involved in nitrogen remobilization from senescing flag leaves into the developing grain in wheat.

Before this fellowship, I spent a semester at the Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS), University of Florida, USA where I focused on cereal transformation and tissue culture.

In my Ph.D., I am carrying out a research project entitled “Wheat-Omics to Decipher Nitrogen Use Efficiency (NUE) in Hexaploid Bread Wheat for Yield Maximization” at Quaid-i-Azam University and National Agricultural Research Centre (NARC), Islamabad, Pakistan. I also did an internship on “Plant Tissue Culture” at National Institute for Genomics and Advanced Biotechnology (NIGAB), Islamabad, Pakistan.
